PRESIDENT Lungu has challenged mining companies to be innovative and diversify power consumption patterns by taking the lead in investing in energy generation projects to ease pressure on hydropower to contribute to economic development.
And President Lungu has directed all public institutions and mining houses to support the development of the productive sector by procuring locally-manufactured goods.
President Lungu said in Kitwe yesterday that mining companies should embrace the use of alternative sources of energy such as solar and thermal power to increase their productivity.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
