Bullets, CBU Robins conquer Northern region

LUNGA Bullets have been crowned Zambia Basketball Association (ZBA) Northern region champions while Copperbelt University (CBU) Robins triumphed in the women’s category.
Bullets only lost one match to runners-up Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) Cavaliers.
Zambia Basketball Association general secretary Mwembe Kaona confirmed the final standings in a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday.
Last year’s runners-up YMCA Stingers of Kitwe finished fourth while Konkola Trotters and Kwacha Crusaders were at the bottom of the table.
Trotters and Crusaders have been relegated to the B – League.
From the men’s B – League, Solwezi Panthers will next season play in the A – League after finishing top with 35 points.
Joining Panthers to the A – League are Ndola Takers.
In the women’s category, CBU Robins finished top with CEC Queens as runners-up.
Joining the top two to play in the national championships are Lunga Woosters and Chingola Sparks.
