MINISTER in the Office of the Vice-President Sylvia Chalikosa has advised Zambians against using sub-standard materials to build houses.
Ms Chalikosa said in an interview that the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) has established that houses and other buildings collapse during the rainy season because they were built with sub-standard materials.
“People should not use sub-standard materials when constructing houses. This is one of the reasons why houses collapse each time it rains heavily,” she said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
