Buffaloes hold Dynamos

ALEX NJOVU, Heroes Stadium, Lusaka
DEMOCRATIC Republic of Congo forward Chris Mugalu yesterday netted a double as Lusaka Dynamos allowed Green Buffaloes to salvage a draw in a Four Club Invitation tournament watched by a small crowd.
The expensively assembled Dynamos, tutored by Patrick Phiri, opened the scoring in the fifth minute through Mugalu, a former Lupopo striker.
Mugalu benefited from Ugandan Joseph Ochaya’s cross.
Buffaloes midfielder Fellony Sitonya restored parity from the spot on the half-hour mark but a lively Mugalu struck his second in the 65th minute from Ochaya’s pass.
Buffaloes rallied and Happy Kunda struck with a long-range effort for the teams to share points.
Napsa Stars midfielder Fred Musende missed a penalty as the Pensioners battled to a goalless draw with Red Arrows.
Arrows goalkeeper Daniel Munyao stopped Musende’s shot on 35 minutes.
Dynamos take on Napsa today while Buffaloes face Arrows.
