THE British government is providing £25 million to improve livelihoods of farmers from the period 2016 to 2021, dispelling allegations that it has discontinued aid to Zambia.
In a statement issued yesterday by the press and public affairs section, the British High Commission stated that there have been publications of false allegations about the UK aid programme in Zambia.
“Following the publication of false allegations about the UK aid programme in Zambia, we wish to state a few facts. UK Aid observes the highest standards in the disbursement of its funds and implementation of its programmes aimed at alleviating poverty in Zambia,” the statement read in part.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
