BoZ acts against cybercrimes

THE central bank has started converting details of consumers into a code to prevent unauthorised access to personal banking details in view of rising cybercrimes.
Recently, several people have been scammed by all sorts of schemes, resulting in them being swindled out of large amounts of money.
Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Governor Christopher Mvunga advised consumers to avoid sharing personal details.
“Apart from the recently passed cybercrime law, we have come up with additional guidelines. This is a comprehensive law which talks about how you store data and where your savings are.
