GOVERNMENT will next year start building police posts in all border areas of Zambia to tighten security and enhance peace in the country, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Panji Kaunda has said.
Colonel Kaunda said Government will set aside funds in next year’s budget to construct police posts in border areas to supplement efforts by other departments such as the Immigration and customs in all border areas.
He said government remains committed to ensuring that security in all border areas in the country is tightened.
Col Kaunda, who was speaking on Friday shortly before embarking on his familiarisation tour of North- Western Province, said the ministry was aware of districts such as Mwinilunga that has a porous border.
