CHIEF Justice of England and Wales Lord Burnett of Maldon has commended the Zambian government for the various bold legal reforms it has successfully implemented to enhance democracy and rule of law. Lord Burnett says the creation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Court in Zambia is a right move that strengthens the rule of law. “You have established an Economic Crimes Court and that too, is the step in the right direction,” he said when he called on Minister of Justice Mulambo Haimbe yesterday.
