Black Mountain accident probe concluded

THE Mines and Safety Department has concluded investigations into the cause of last month’s accident at a slug dumpsite commonly known as the black mountain, in Kitwe, where 10 small-scale miners died.Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development Permanent Secretary Paul Chanda said in an interview yesterday that the report has been finalised and will be submitted to Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Richard Musukwa.
“Yes, the investigations have been concluded and the report will be availed to the Minister of Mines,” he said.
