JIMMY CHIBUYE, Monze
A HEAD teacher at Munyenze Primary School in Monze has been sent on forced transfer for allegedly preoccupying himself with beer drinking and
extramarital affairs at the expense of work.
This was after members of the community petitioned Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale to have John Sialuya replaced because of his alleged failure to manage the school.
Dr Hamukale, who was in Monze on Thursday to inspect a development project in Kaila ward, directed the district education board secretary to immediately process the transfer of Mr Sialuya.
The school’s Parents Teachers Association member, Dickson Gwanu, told Dr Hamukale that Mr Sialuya has allegedly failed to manage the institution accusing him of spending most of the time abusing alcohol and engaging in other vices.
“We don’t want this head teacher because he has failed to run the school. Every time a meeting is convened, he doesn’t attend but delegates the senior teacher,” Mr Gwanu said.
