THE Bemba Royal Establishment (BRE) says it is confident that President Edgar Lungu will govern the country well and has wished him blessings in his endeavours.
Speaking when Vice-President Inonge Wina paid a courtesy call on the Chitimukulu designate, Henry Sosala yesterday, BRE spokesperson James Mulenga said they were grateful to President Lungu for recognising Mr Sosala as paramount chief.
Mr Mulenga requested Ms Wina to convey a message of gratitude to President Lungu over his decision to recognise Mr Sosala as the Chitimukulu.
And the BRE took advantage of the Vice-President’s visit to ask for Government’s help in their preparations for the Ukusefya Pang’wena traditional ceremony which was last celebrated three years ago.
Mr Mulenga said there was need to clean the venue for the traditional ceremony.
And Mrs Wina urged traditional leaders to maintain peace in their chiefdoms.
“I urge the traditional leadership to maintain peace in their chiefdoms so that the country remains peaceful,” she said.
She also called on traditional leaders to help Government attract investors to their chiefdoms.
