Battle of the Zambezi: Zambia will triumph, says Sakala

ZAMBIA national rugby team technical director Innocent Sakala has promised victory in tomorrow’s Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) Group 1C match against Zimbabwe.
But Zimbabwe coach Nsikelelo Sibanda says his charges will embarrass Zambia at Lusaka Rugby Club.
Sakala said in an interview in Lusaka on Wednesday, after watching Zimbabwe lose 34-23 to Nigeria, that Zambia will not struggle to overcome the southern neighbours in the battle of the Zambezi.
“All I can promise Zambians is victory. We have watched Zimbabwe and we have seen their weaknesses. When we meet on Saturday [tomorrow], we will beat them definitely,” he said.
Sakala, however, said Zambia will not underrate Zimbabwe.
“We have to take the game seriously. Underrating them is out because they might just come with a different game plan,” he said.
Sakala said Zimbabwe have some talented players who could be difficult to handle if taken lightly.
But Sibanda said tomorrow’s match is a must-win.
“I am very disappointed that we lost to Nigeria. This was a game we were supposed to win. We have no choice now but to beat Zambia on Saturday. I know it will be a tough match but we will win,” he said.
