Battle for Katuba

KAPALA CHISUNKA, Lusaka
WITH about eight days left to go before the Katuba constituency by-elections which are scheduled to take place on July 30, campaigns have heated up in the constituency as the three candidates continue selling themselves to the electorate.
The candidates participating in the by-election are Peter Mwachilele of the Patriotic Front (PF), Bertha Mangeya of the United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) and Bampi Aubrey Kapalasa of the United Party for National Development (UPND).
Peter Zacks Mwachilele (PF)
Peter Zacks Mwachilele (PF) is no stranger to the people of Katuba constituency. Born in 1957, in Mwambi village, Mr Mwachilele attended primary and secondary education in Lusaka at Chitanda Primary and Matero Boys secondary schools, respectively.
He worked for Pipeco for three years before joining Lusaka Hotel as a maintenance supervisor for 11 years and later resigned to join the Embassy of Japan as a maintenance clerk, working there from 2005 to 2011.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
