BANKS such as Zanaco have done well by opening branches in shopping malls because they are enhancing the one-stop functions by its customers.
On Tuesday, I set out to deposit school fees for a dependant at Zanaco Levy Mall, but I was told that it is no longer accepting such functions although I was allowed.
I was told that the number of customers has drastically reduced because of that directive to the extent that some tellers may be dozing at times.
My advice to Zanaco and other banks is never to restrict customers where to deposit from because it inconveniences them.
Let customers conduct business where it is convenient for them.
