Bandits wound police officer at Kasumbalesa

SUSPECTED Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) bandits have shot and wounded a Zambian police officer at the Kasumbalesa border.

And a truck driver who was robbed at gun point of K700 and US$400 cash says he wetted his pair of trousers when suspected criminals attacked him in his truck at Zambia’s border with the DRC on Friday.
The shooting incident, which happened in the early hours of Friday morning, left constable Brian Mutale with a wounded left leg and grazed forefinger while on a safety and security patrol with four other officers.
