Bad Chinsali, Isoka roads irk Sondashi

FORUM for Democratic Alternatives FDA president Ludwig Sondashi has bemoaned the poor state of roads in Isoka and Chinsali districts.
Dr Sondashi said the Isoka-Miyombe road needs urgent attention because it will soon become impassable with the onset of the rains.
“This is the reason provinces should run their own affairs through federal system of governance.
He said this yesterday in Muchinga Province where he is expected to address a rally in Chinsali today.
And FDA secretary general Wesley Miyanda escaped lynching from unknown cadres upon arriving in Chinsali for a series of campaign meetings.
Mr Miyanda has since reported the matter and Muchinga police commissioner Bonnie Kapeso. He said cadres hurled insults at them and stopped them from sticking party posters.
He said despite officials being attacked, the party will go ahead with the rally today.
Mr Miyanda said it is unfortunate that some cadres have threatened to beat any political party holding meetings in Chisali but no one is condemning them.
Mr Miyanda said these cadres have only allowed PF to conduct their business freely in Chinsali.
