Avoid lone, wee hours movements, warns IG

INSPECTOR-GENERAL of Police Kakoma Kanganja has cautioned members of the public against making unnecessary movements during the long holiday to avoid falling victim to criminals.
Mr Kanganja said people should be mindful that criminals heighten their activities to attack unsuspecting members of the public during holidays.
He said in a statement yesterday that members of the public should remain security-alert.
“In view of the long weekend which begins today, I wish to caution members of the public to avoid engaging themselves in activities that would risk their personal security and that of others,” Mr Kanganja said.
