Aviation sector gets $1 billion boost

GOVERNMENT has injected over US$1 million in the aviation industry as part of its commitment to growing the sector to position the country as an industrial hub.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) general manager Gabriel Lesa said the development has resulted in the expansion of the sector with year on year real growth projected to be 13 percent for the next 15 years.
In an interview with journalists, Mr Lesa said the country’s aviation industry has this year witnessed a new entrant, Mahogany Air, which is a local airline, and was recognised for good standards by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
