‘I aspire to be a medical doctor’

Young & Ambitious: MIKE MWENDA, Lusaka
BORNIFACE Daka, 16, aspires to become a doctor once he completes his education. His passion to be a doctor is always aroused whenever he sees a medical practitioner clad in a white coat.
Borniface, a grade eleven pupil at Kafushi Secondary School in Chibombo district, said his desire to become a doctor dates back to the day his class teacher asked him what career path he would like to take.
“I remember when my class teacher randomly pointed at me and asked what I wanted to become. I stayed quiet for a moment to think critically what I wanted to be then I said a doctor,” he said.
He says becoming a doctor will help him contribute towards the health development of the nation.
Borniface says Mthunzi Rehabilitation Centre, who sponsor his education, have always encouraged him to excel in his studies and not find reason for failure.
