MULWANDA LUPIYA, Ndola
ARROWS 43 MUFULIRA B 9
RED Arrows on Saturday made a giant step towards clinching their sixth consecutive National Rugby League title after beating Mufulira B in a rescheduled Week One encounter at Yotam Muleya Ground.
The champions, who have a game in hand moved to 56 points after winning with a bonus point and will retain the title if they conquer against Chibuluma in November.
Oscar Bwalya and Derrick Chewe were the architect of Mufulira’s downfall after posting a brace of tries apiece with international Israel Kalumba and David Chimbukulu contributing one try each as Arrows ran riot.
Conversion specialist Terry Kaushiku converted three while Brian Mbalwa was successful twice and before he added a penalty to ensure the airmen remained on course to reclaim the title.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
