Another Tenant goes



BARELY 24 hours after Kansanshi Dynamos cracked a whip on coach Tenant Chilumba and his four assistants, Forest Rangers have followed suit by showing Chilumba’s namesake Chembo the exit door. While Chilumba managed to last six months in his job, Chembo has been in-charge of Forest for only four months after being appointed head coach on September 1, 2021. He replaced Chilumba but a string of uninspiring results has resulted in him being fired by the Ndola outfit. “Forest Rangers wishes to announce with immediate effect, the termination of contract of Tenant Chembo as head coach,” Forest media and public relations officer Christina Zulu said in a statement. Initially Chembo, who has also drilled Buildcon, Mufulira Wanderers and Lumwana Radiants was roped in as assistant coach but was elevated to the position of head coach after Forest failed to land their preferred choice. “Chembo was given a target to qualify the club to the ABSA Cup as the first objective in the first half of the season, which was not achieved,” Zulu added. “In addition, the club recorded a string of draws which put its set objectives for CLICK TO READ MORE
