Angola oil on cards

ZAMBIA is in the near future expected to cut costs on petroleum when it starts importing finished oil products from Angola as the two countries sign a cooperation framework next month.
The pact will pave way for a private sector-led pipeline between Zambia and Angola.
In 2012, a locally registered company, Basali Ba Liseli Resources, announced plans to build a pipeline from oil-rich Angola to Lusaka.
Zambia’s Ambassador to Angola Lawrence Chalungumana said in an interview on Thursday that lack of an agreement between the two countries has prevented the importation of oil from that country
