Angela Mwanza gets Women of Power, Influence award

A ZAMBIAN woman has been awarded the Women of Power and Influence Award by a New York-based national organisation for women.
Angela Mwanza, who was awarded alongside immediate past chairperson of the United States ((US) Federal Reserve Janet Yellen, becomes the first Zambian to be recognised by the organisation for her commitment to global health.
Ms Mwanza, who is based in the United States, is senior vice president of Evergreen Wealth Management.
According to the Women of Power and Influence 2018 Awards publication, Ms Mwanza, who is also a private wealth advisor, has over 18 years’ experience in investment impact and strategies with focus on liquidity and risk management.
“Ms Mwanza is engaged in global health issues and takes an entrepreneurial approach to solving some of the world’s largest problems,” the publication reads in part.
She serves as co-vice chairperson of the Global Health Alliance and is one of the founding members of the United Nations Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurs Council.
Ms Mwanza also serves on the advisory board of Johnson Graduate School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
She holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Linguistics.
