THE death of ZNBC Television’s Ulendo and Muvi Television’s Banja actor Alfred Kandolo Phiri aka Ziye is a big blow to the performing arts fraternity.
Alfred died on Wednesday, December 23, 2014 after complaining about headache and stomach pains.
He was a movie director, producer and actor wrapped in one.
A talented actor who took acting to another level on the local stage, Alfred Kandolo Phiri had become a household name in acting circles in Zambia.
His acting was rare because it was original, and it will be difficult to replace him.
It is even more devastating that his death was preceded by that of local music sensation P-Jay last week.
