Albanese is KCM chairman

ALVIN CHIINGA, Lusaka
Vedanta Resources chief executive officer Tom Albanese has been appointed Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) chairman.
According to a statement from KCM spokesperson Shapi Shacinda, Mr Albanese, who has taken over from Navin Agarwal,  pledged to help KCM fulfil its vision to become a significant global copper producer and continue playing a major role in developing Zambia.
He said that ramping up operations of the flagship Konkola Deep Mining Project (KDMP) would be the top priority for KCM.
