AIRTEL Networks Plc was the highest performer in last week’s trading on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE), which recorded a K25.2 million turnover.
Of the total turnover, almost K2.5 million was shared among six companies that participated in the 55 trades on the local bourse.
During the period under review, Airtel posted the largest chunk of over K22 million.
The rise in overall turnover for last week entails that the local bourse witnessed increased market activity.
“In the week ended December 8, 2017, a total of 1,630,289 shares were transacted in 55 trades, resulting in a market turnover of K25,252,420 compared to a total of 5,806,589 shares worth K15,600,347 that were transacted in 72 trades,” according to the LuSE weekly news stock.
