PASSENGER traffic at the four international airports has continued to increase with a total of 495,685 passengers being recorded in the third quarter.
And expansion works at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport have advanced with the terminal almost 70 percent complete.
Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL) communications and brand manager Mweembe Sikaulu said collectively the four international airports posted an increase in passenger traffic in the third quarter of 2017.
“Kenneth Kaunda, Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula and Mfuwe International Airports collectively posted 8.5 percent increase in passenger traffic in the third quarter of 2017 compared to the 456,750 passengers recorded during the same period last year,” Ms Sikaulu said.
