OrganiSations working to end the HIV pandemic will deeply miss the dynamic leadership of our beloved late president Michael Sata.
It was during his leadership that Zambia saw a decline in the HIV/AIDS prevalence .
The 2013Â Millennium Development Goals (MDG) progress report notes that the number of Zambians infected with HIV has dropped to 14.3 per cent.
Zambia has, therefore, already achieved and surpassed the MDG target for HIV prevalence of 15.6 per cent.
The report further observes that Zambia has made significant progress towards achieving universal access to treatment for HIV/AIDS leading to a significant impact on mortality among adults in Zambia .
Also as part of the international community in Zambia, I join in the mourning along with our Zambian brothers and sisters .
Good bye father, till we meet at Jesus’ feet. Surely, the late President can say, “ I have fought a good fight , I have finished my course , I have kept the faith†, 2 Timothy 4:7 . MHSRIP.
