PRESIDENT Lungu says those who doubt his administration’s resolve and capabilities to confront the economic challenges that Zambia is facing must be ashamed at the remarkable success achieved in the 2015/2016 farming season.
The President said Zambia has a forecast to produce 2.8 million tonnes of maize in the 2015/2016 farming season.
President Lungu said despite the difficult weather pattern, the success has not come by accident as it is as a result of clear decisions that the government made to restructure the input distribution mechanisms and crop marketing exercise.
Mr Lungu was speaking in Livingstone yesterday when he officiated at the 2016 World Farmers Organisation (WFO) general assembly.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
