Am addicted to masturbation

GODLY COUNSEL with EVANGELIST KATAI
Dear Pastor,
I THANK God for what you are doing in our lives. I am a young man aged 21 and I don’t know what is wrong with me.

My problem is masturbation. Every time I am alone I find myself doing it and this is affecting my mind and Christian faith as well. Please pastor help me to find a solution.

ANS: Friend what kind of material or info are you subjecting yourself to?  Do you have any obscene sex material in your custody that is fueling your behaviour? If any, it is time you got rid of it and deliver yourself from it. (Proverbs 6:5). Since this act is affecting your mind and Christian faith, it is better you make a decision today to stop it. You have the power to stop or continue with the same behaviour. Adam had the power to say no or yes to the temptations of the devil just as Jesus did – Luke 4:1-13. Blessings!

Dear Pastor,
I am a girl aged 17 and dating four men and I love them all. What should I do?
ANS: Thanks for your brief text. My dear girl, you are too young first of all to involve yourself in love affairs. At your age, you should be busy building up your future. It is not right and safe for you to date four men. You have placed yourself in a very awkward position and in my opinion you should quit all of them. If you are still at school concentrate on studies.  Modern life has changed, our world has become sophisticated. Men now want to marry educated women of influence who are in formal employment.  Stop the love affairs and get serious with your studies. Blessings!

Dear Pastor
I am a man aged 25 in love with a 21-year-old girl but she still has constant communication with her ex who is also her workmate. We’ve been dating for 8months now and I intend to marry her but whenever I tell her to stop the communication with her ex who she claims she really loved, she cries and tells me I am the only one she loves. I feel uncomfortable with this and she doesn’t want to stop. I really love her, what should I do man of God?
ANS: Thanks bro for your inquiry. Your beloved fiancée appears to be in a strong love bond with her ex if she cannot stop communicating with him. What I know from experience and counselling sessions is that if one has made his or her mind to quit a relationship, it means communication lines should be completely cut – why? Nothing in common! If possible even change the phone number. To make matters worse, both are in one work environment and this helps them to be in constant touch.  You should advise your fiancé to stop any kind of communication bordering on love and intimacy. If they are to discuss anything let it be purely work-related issues and nothing else. Anything more should be treated as sexual harassment on her part. Further let her know that you are not comfortable with her behaviour and that her ‘cry baby’ behaviour is not enough to assure you of a solid relationship with her. Let her take action, the ball lies in her court to change things. Blessings!

Dear Pastor,
How can I find a man who will respect my Christian values? I am 40 and a virgin. I have been in two serious relationships before but we broke up because those men wanted to sleep with me before the wedding night. God forbids sex before marriage. please help! . Lady L.
ANS: Thank you and keep it up for having taken care of yourself up to that stage. There are a few genuine men out there, but that should not rob us of righteousness and holiness before God. The Bible always teaches us to seek God’s kingdom and righteousness first before we can think of anything in this world. We are assured that all we need will be added to us (Matthew 6:31-34). Don’t worry sis, don’t give up either, soldier on and prayerfully continue searching for a serious man. If you have any special talents exercise them in church where you can be appreciated and encouraged. Blessings!

Dear Pastor, I have been dating this lady for 1 year and three months now. The problem is that her ex- boyfriend still calls at any time he wants. I came to know about it when I had her phone for a week. When I asked about it, she said she told him to stop but he still persists. Please help, I am losing interest, what can I do?
ANS: Thanks bro for your text. Before you lose interest and call it quit discuss your way forward. Given the fact that she is aware of your concern and to prove that she is innocent and really loves you as her current boyfriend advise her to change her number and see how she reacts. It is from her reaction, you will be able to tell whether this lady is with you or not. If she agrees ensure that the new number is made private so that each time she calls, it is not seen by the recipient. You can ask the mobile service provider to do that for you. Be peaceful. Blessings!

Marriage: There’s no such thing as pretending to let go. There’s no possible way to fake it. Letting go is your choice, and no one else’s. Examine your own life and determine what you need to let go of, and then just do it.
