NIGERIAN gospel singer and songwriter Ada is in the country for a concert today at Blessing Centre Bread of Life Church in Lusaka’s Emmasdale.
Ada will perform alongside Zambian gospel singer Rachael and other upcoming gospel singer at the concert dubbed “Future Now Tour”.
Amets Christian Arts Promotions director David Tembo, who is the organiser of the event, told the Weekend Mail that Ada is already in the country and ready for the concert.
Tembo said concert is meant to create an atmosphere of worship as the singer is a renowned great worship leader.
“This concert is not only for entertainment, it’s a place where people will gather to worship God and thank him for everything he has done,” he said.
Known for the songs like I Testify, Only You Jesus and I Over Came, Ada (born Ada Ogochukwu Ehi) started her musical career at the age of 10 as a backup singer for child star Tosin Jegede.
She graduated from Lagos State University where she studied chemical and polymer engineering. While in school, she joined the Christian gospel group called Believers Love World local campus fellowship.
Her gospel singing career continued in the Christ Embassy Presidential Choir, where she was provided with a platform to develop and promote her professional skills.
In 2017, she was listed in YNaija’s list of 100 Influential Christian personalities in Nigeria. In the same year, she also won the Groove Award for West African Artiste of the Year, where she was nominated alongside Frank Edwards, Sinach, Joe Praise and the Preachers.
Since professionally starting her music career under Love World Records in 2009, she has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos which are widely being celebrated in most Christian homes.
