Accept defeat, leaders told

LUNGU

JACK ZIMBA, Kampala
PRESIDENT Lungu says democracy has come to stay in Africa and African leaders must learn to accept defeat when they lose elections.
Speaking on arrival at Entebbe Military Base here yesterday, President Lungu said: “Democracy has come to stay in Africa, so people’s views should always be respected in elections. People should learn to accept results, anyway. The most important message I have for Africans, Ugandans and Zambians, is that let us accept the will of the people.”
The President is here to attend the investiture ceremony for President-elect Yoweri Museveni, who recently won the elections in that country.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
