Abha Patel raising Zambian Bar

ZAMBIA has been home to newly-appointed High Court Judge Abha Nayar Patel since the age of seven when she migrated to Zambia with her parents under the auspices and blessings of the government of India.
Her father Chaman Lal Nayar and mother Mrs. Saroj Nayar (deceased) both came to work in Zambia in 1973 as an accountant and school teacher, respectively.
After her primary school at Woodlands Primary School, secondary education at St. Marys Secondary School from 1978 to 1982 and graduating as the best student of the class, she attended the University of Zambia to study law from 1983 to 1987.
Mrs Patel graduated from the School of Law at UNZA in 1987 as the only recorded female student to have graduated with a distinction to date.
She obtained awards for best third year and fourth year student as well as Senate award for best graduating student from UNZA.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
