AB Bank expands coverage

NANCY SIAME, Lusaka
AS AB Bank Zambia strives to create greater socio-economic opportunities and financial inclusion for everyone, the bank has opened a new branch in Kitwe.
The bank’s Mahala Banking and its micro and small and medium enterprises (SME) loans are available at the new branch.
“The new branch falls in line with the bank’s mission to improve and increase access to a broad range of appropriate financial services in an effective and efficient manner, with the main target partners being Zambian business owners, micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as the general lower and middle income population of Zambia,” AB Bank public relations and marketing officer Martin Sikweti said.
The bank also offers attractive rates on fixed deposits to larger investors.
He said the new branch is at Kitwe’s Chisokone market and is the seventh in the AB Bank Zambia branch network.
“It extends the outreach of AB Bank Zambia’s “Mahala” financial services, including free accounts, free internal transfers or cash withdrawals between the Copperbelt and Lusaka, term deposits and kids’ accounts, as well as interest-friendly loan facilities to micro entrepreneurs, small-scale farmers and SMEs,” Mr Sikweti said.
Mr Sikweti said the first AB Bank Zambia branch outside of Lusaka, comes at a time when the bank looks to maximise continued productivity and growth, while focused on prioritising its clients.
