A LOCAL businessman of Holy Family market in Kalumbila has allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl of the same area in his shop where she went to ask for change.
North-Western Province police commanding officer Dennis Moola said the victim was sent to the market by her mother to buy eggs on Thursday evening, but Crebby Kauta allegedly defiled her in his shop.
“The victim was sent to Holy Family market by her mother to buy some eggs.
As she reached the market, she entered a certain shop but the seller did not have change for K100 and that is how she was advised to go to the next shop of the suspect to look for change,” he said.
“However, she was told to wait as he was busy attending to other customers.
When the customers left, he decided to lock up the shop and then pushed the victim on the ground and forced himself on her whilst she was shouting for help.”
Mr Moola said fortunately, someone came and started knocking at the door.
“Later, he (the suspect) opened the door and the victim ran home where she informed her mother,” he said. The mother, Olivia Munyunga, 32, reported the matter to police but the suspect has not yet been arrested….https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
