8 Zimbabwean riders enter National Championship


OVER 45 riders, among them Zimbabweans, will this weekend fight for honours in the National Enduro Championship second round. Event organiser Rainer Ihmann said in an interview yesterday that the competition, which will start in Mazabuka and end in Siavonga, has attracted eight riders from Zimbabawe. Ihmann named notable Zambian riders as Kai Lublinkoff, Jesper Lublinkoff, Michael Struik and Dan Watson. “The start of the trail is from Mazabuka, Munali Coffee and ends at Lake Kariba Inns. The ride takes one through the trail routes in the bush and navigation is done by GPS only,” Ihmann said. He said logistics for staging of the event have been finalised and riders are expected to start arriving in Mazabuka today.
