5,000 to benefit from legume deal

GOOD Nature Agro targets to buy about 3,000 metric tonnes of legumes from small-scale farmers with an initial investment of about US$900,000.
The company is a social enterprise that invests in Zambia’s small-scale farmers to elevate them out of poverty and into the middle class.
Good Nature Agro chief executive officer Carl Jensen said in an interview last week that over 5,000 small-scale farmers will benefit through market linkages and a net income from the 2,200 in the previous season.
