THIRTY-TWO town clerks and council secretaries have been charged for alleged financial irregularities, Minister of Local Government Vincent Mwale has told Parliament.
Mr Mwale said this was done to ensure that money meant for service delivery is used for intended purposes by those entrusted with such a responsibility.
He said this in Parliament on Wednesday evening when winding up debate on the 2019 budget allocation to the Ministry of Local Government.
