THREE police posts have been constructed in Kabwata constituency at K400,000 from constituency development funds (CDF), Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda has said.
Mr Lubinda said yesterday that the police posts have been constructed to enhance security and reduce crime in the area.
“This project cost approximately K300,000 to K400,000. These police [posts] are expected to be commissioned in April this year,” he said.
Mr Lubinda named the police posts as Mary Mwango in Chilenje South, Maxwell Sibongo in Kamwala South and Godfrey Miyanda in Hillview Park which are expected to be completed by the end of March this year.
The MP said he places security of people number one hence channelling of the CDF to construction of police stations in the area.
Mr Lubinda said he is still looking for land where to build Richard Kachingwe police post in Kabwata, adding that works at the Michael Chilufya Sata police post in Kamulanga have been suspended because the matter is in court.
