2 soldiers deny conspiring to kill Kaizer Zulu

TWO soldiers and a businessman have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to murder special assistant to the President for political affairs Kaizer Zulu.

The three are Steven Phiri, 35, Steven Chooka, 42, and Milner Mwanakampwe, 38.

The matter came up yesterday for plea and the three men said they understood the charge but denied committing the offence.
It is alleged that between June 30 and August 8, 2017, in Lusaka, Phiri and Chooka, who are soldiers, and Mwanakampwe, a businessman, jointly, and while acting together with other unknown people, conspired to murder Mr Zulu.
