MUBANGA NONDO, Ndola
TWO men of Chifubu in Ndola have appeared in the Ndola Magistrate’s Court for allegedly issuing disparaging remarks against President Lungu.
Appearing before magistrate Mwansa Chibalo last Friday for plea, Nicholas Mulamba, 26, and Mwenya Kabwe, 25, said they understood the charge but pleaded not guilty.
It is alleged that Mulamba and Kabwe, on March 2, 2016, in Ndola, jointly and whilst acting together, with intent to bring the President into hatred and ridicule, did insult by word of mouth.
The two were granted K10,000 bail in their own cognisance with two working sureties each, who are residents of Ndola and are employees of reputable organisations.
