OVER 150 companies are expected to take part in the Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Golf tournament set for Lusaka Golf
Kenya Reinsurance corporate affairs manager Gladys Mwangi said at a briefing in Lusaka yesterday that the tournament is aimed at appreciating companies that have contributed to the growth of the firm.
“It is key for us to engage with our stakeholders every now and then to appreciate them for their business partnership which has immensely contributed to the growth of the corporation.
“Holding the golf tournament annually is just one among many initiatives we are keen to continue here in Zambia. Since landing, we have received many accolades on the inaugural golf tournament held last year with high expectations for this year’s event,” Mwangi said.
She said the company decided to use golf because it is a networking sport.
Mwangi said the event has received overwhelming support from the time it was introduced last year.
“Golf has worked for us in Kenya when it comes to mingling with stakeholders. It is high notch of a sport. But that does not mean that we disregard other sports disciplines.
“We are expecting about 150 companies among them financial companies, insurance companies, stakeholders and many more to come and be part of this year’s exciting event,” she said.
