15 drivers lose licences

THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has suspended drivers’ licences for 15 people for violating various traffic rules.
This follows an order of the Kitwe High Court to suspend the drivers’ licences for the offenders.
RTSA acting senior public relations officer Frederick Mubanga said in a statement yesterday that the drivers underwent trial for dangerous driving, unlicensed driving, driving under the influence of alcohol and causing death by dangerous driving.
He said the suspects were found guilty of violating road traffic rules, contrary to the Road Traffic Act Number 11 of 2002.
