DEFENCE forces yesterday demolished about 10,000 illegal trading structures in Lusaka as they closed Kamwala, Munyaule and Matero markets in the continued clean-up exercise to rid the city of cholera.

Shop owners were not allowed to open their premises to pave way for the cleaning exercise by the men and women in uniform who are working in collaboration with some traders.
A check at some markets found heaps of debris from razed structures while officers from the Zambia Army, Zambia National Service, Zambia Air Force and Zambia Police Service were busy dismantling other stands as the owners watched in awe.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
